Hi Dale,
I'm copying Nick here because he will need to send you the form which we must have for all external events or meetings.
I'm sure the Acting Secretary is looking forward to this event.
Thanks,
Sam

Good Morning Samantha:
I had asked Acting Secretary Bernhardt if he would be willing to say a few remarks (5-7 minutes) at our Ducks Unlimited reception at the Canadian Embassy the evening of April 29th. He told me he would love to if his calendar is open. He let me know yesterday that his calendar would allow him to be there, so I 'm officially requesting that this be placed on his schedule. He is fully supported by our group and has been a champion for NAWCA funding as long as I have known him. This is the 30th anniversary of NAWCA and our Hill events will focus on that. It would be great if he could highlight that in his remarks. Our Congressional dinner is the next night, April 30, at the Hyatt on New Jersey Ave. He attended that event last year and we would love to have him there again this year.
Please let me know how I can help with logistics or any other questions you might have. Thank you for your help, and it 's always good to communicate with a Louisianan! I'm headed to Baton Rouge today for a weekend at LSU. Have a great day.

Thank you for your update. I would like to discuss with you about the timing. As you know that DHS has just changed the leadership and they inform us that the Acting Secretary can only meet or Minister from 3.30 to 4.15 Apr 23. In that case, it would not be possible for the meeting with DOI at 4.00pm. Please kindly (if possible) to change DOI meeting from 9.30 10.30am or from 4.45 to 5.30 on that day?
Please let me know your idea about that. Otherwise, we can continue with our schedule at 4.00pm anh cancel the meeting with DHS this time.
Thank you very much for your understanding anh cooperation.
Kind regards,
Khanh

Hello Mr. Khanh, I have a few updates for you on the MOU signing event at DOI. Given the number of participants involved, our Secretary has informed us he'd like to hold the signing ceremony in the DOI Library, which is a lovely room on the first floor just inside the C Street entrance of our building. The group will then move to the Secretary's Executive Conference Room on the 5th floor, which has enough seating to accommodate the group for the bilateral meeting.
Also, we hope to hear confirmation soon that our proposed time change to 4:00 on Apr 23 works for the Minister.
Finally, we received the delegation list below from our Embassy colleagues in Hanoi. Please do let us know if there arc any changes or additions to this list. We also need the following info (highlighted in yellow below) for all foreign visitors to DOI a couple of days before the event so that our Security office can pre-clear them (you can send that directly to me).
Minister To Lam, Minister of Public Security Lt. Gen Luong Tam Quang, Chief of Staff/Ministerial Office Lt.
