All field samples were re-extracted to Investigate low spike recoveries in the original extractions. Smaller aliguota were used. for the re-extractions to provide more insurance that surrogates would not be
diluted out.

IV. ODKLItY CONTROI.
A. Hethod Blank : PC-143 was not present in any of the laboratory
blanks.
B. Surrogate Recoveries
s All samples were re-extracted and reanalyzed as a corrective action for poor spike recoveries observed in the original work..
C. Matrix Spiks Results
All re-extracted samples met acceptable.QC limits.
Matrix spike results have been reported with this
contract along with the laboratory control sample (blank spike) results. The analytical system was not in control for original extractions performed on 05/24/93. Spike recoveries were back. to normal for the re-extractions performed on 06/01/93.
