Fluker, Superintendent Industrial Commission of Ohio Room 611, Ohio Departments Building Columbus, Ohio Dear Mr. Fluker: I am writing in regards to a condition that exists within the Kimble Glass Division plant of Owens-Illinois located at 711 Southwood Avenue, in Columbus, within the Sealing and Selecting Departments. In the handling of the television tubes and parts we have had considerable trouble with our membership in regards to their hands and arms swelling and breaking out and we feel that there exists some type of industrial hazard. At the present time, we have nine cases of this type pending with the Industrial Commission and feel that there will be three or more cases shortly. j We are very desirous of having someone from your office make an investigatior * of these conditions in order that we may get a more comprehensive picture [ and report regarding this type of work and as to whether or not it does have a definite bearing as to the conditions we speak of.
