ABD00263751 V 4 R. E. Polk and C. J. McDonald Interoffice Communication From: Date: Subject: T. M. Haley November 10, 1989 WASTE VCM ADSORPTION A VISTA Presently VCM Stack Emission from the Aberdeen PVC Plant are among the highest in the S-PVC industry. An Activated Carbon Adsorption System, as a replacement to External Steam Stripping, would place Vista's VCM Stack Emissions in the middle of the pack for S-PVC plants. The preliminary design for the Waste VCM Adsorption Project is being issued for estimation. Currently, VCM Stack Emissions are about 180 #VCM/day. An Activated Carbon Adsorption System could lower VCM Stack Emissions to approximately 25 #VCM/day. ZodLciL ffl. tffadUAy, Todd M.
