Contribution to Plant Earnings Objective by Controlling and Improving Cost on Existing Units. 1. Contributing timely support to Oxo and TMP efficiency problems. Overall current plant efficiencies are probably average or a 5 rating. Project that we should acheive plan or a 3 rating by year end. 2. Laboratory cost reduction effort to date is superior or a 2 rating as evidenced by contribution to MS Crude trial and Citric Acid innovation. Project continued 2 rating provided trouble shooting doesn't increase above current levels. 3. Quality complaints are at 0.171. of shipments at end of May. Rating 3. DAA miscibility is current problem not resolved. Project that we will acheive our 0.15% by year end for a 3 rating. 4. Lab is operating at 93.5% of budget a 1 rating. Project year end at 96.3% of budget, a 2 rating. 11. Energy Conservation Completed PE evaporator vent treatability project and provided all Lab support as requested. Current rating should be a 2. Lab is in supporting role on this objective so projection to year end depends on requests. III. Technology 1. Supporting MO Conversion/Expansion as requested. Current raring 3. Continue support. IV. Environmental Maintenance and Industrial Hygiene 1. Current rating 2 based on pilot plant work and effective analytical monitoring program on discharge and vents. Ii>'9 Industrial hygiene monitoring program is currently rated a 4 because we haven't done much (manpower lost). Project improvement to a 3 by year end with experienced person now on board. V. Stewardship and Administration 1. Developed method to monitor productivity and Lab work output has been good even though we have been below planned headcount. Along with Bay City Lab Superintendent have accomplished getting improved chemist recruiting program started. Current rating is 5. 2. Draining stewardship, EEOC and AAP support has been adequate, a 3 rating. One minority and one female have filled two of four vacancies to date. VI. Productivity 1. Year to date cost reduction effort is 33.8o of manpower a 3 rating, down from 37$ or a 2 rating in April YTD because of DAA quality, Oxo and TMP efficiency problems, and increased special analytical requests from Operations and Process. Will need more help from Operations in quality and efficiency problems and less special analytical requests to acheive improved year end rating. VII.
