Geon 150-159-68-1 is composed of ingredients that meet the current requirements of the FDA for use in contact with food containing up to 10% alcohol, except liquid milk under use conditions D through G as described in 21CFR 176.170, Table 2.
The ingredients in the above Geon compound are listed in an appropriate regulation under 21CFR, or are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) or prior sanctioned for such use.
The final food contact article must pass the extractive limitations imposed by 21CFR 178.3790.

We have been working with you to develop a PVC copolymer compound for use as a flexible meat wrap film for Goodyear. You reviewed the FDA ac cep tab 1 i 1 i tv of an initial comnonoH T hmr* sf f o^hod your* <^o^onoo For your reference. We know have the final version of the compound. I have attached the ingredient list that was submitted for an MSDS from Mark Hross.
From your earlier response it appears that you have some concern over the FDA acceptability of Mark 1500 for use with this PVC copolymer. My information from the supplier (Argus- Otto) was that this was acceptable for Liiirs crsre by prior ssnnfioiT Thy would ETS happy te explain their opinion further is it would help clarify the situation. Chuck Purks spoke with them several times-to reconfinTTiheir position.
Goodyear our customer is anxiously awaiting a letter confirming that
the material meets the FDA requirements. Could you please draft such a letter and forward it to the following Goodyear representative:
