-.
Dear Mr. Mittnaeht;
In the matter of the new rules and regula tions I am of the impression that when a new set of rules is issued, some reference should be made to the use of tank car mixing systems. Before writing anything on this subject I should like to have an opportunity to talk with Ed Walter and one or two of the other men, in order that I may make a few suggestions in the form of rules which will make for the greatest convenience in handling this job. There are only a few things which need to be mentioned, and it might bo well for us to have a little more experience In the matter"before having them printed in a more or less permanent form.
I have on hand at present a fairly consid erable number of the present rules and regulations. These are of no particular use to me for there is only an occasion al person to whom I wish to give the ones which I have. I now have somewhere between four and five hundred, I have no way of knowing how rapidly you will use these up, but the entire number may just as well be used for the purposes orig inally Intended. I would suggest that rather than having me send these to you, that you forward to me from time to time names of persons to whom you wish to send them, together with the numbers requlredy and I will see that they are immediate ly delivered on your request. Or, if you should prefer, I , can send them all back to you.
I can have the material I need for the new set of rules by the first of the year if they are required that soon.
Very truly yours,
RAK:EJ
