R/M BRAIDED ASBESTOS ROPE
jr
: 1. "ors or furnaces, gas generators, and many other types of equipment require a dense, strong packing that will resist temperatures up to 600 F. and furnish a tight seal.
Ta meet these conditions, and as a variant from ordinary braided asbestos packing, R /M engineers designed the asbestos rope, shown above. It is furnished either in solid braided construction without a center core, or with a single or double braided asbestos jacket over a twisted asbestos rope center. A ll types are availabl either treated or dry, ready for oiling and graphiting in the engine room to the user's specifications.
These different types of braided asbestos ropes are just a few of the hundreds of R /M packings which are available through your authorized R /M distributor. For every type of equipment, for every service, R /M has a specially engineered packing of selected maim ink and of proved performance.

0 When The Mengel Company purchased a factory in Union City, lnd,,, they found the dust control system inadequate for increased production. Liberty Engineers were called in and after a thorough analysis of the plant layout, they designed and installed a complete dust conirol system engineered to meet the enact requirements
the plant.
One of the features of this installation was the 115 foot span of 12 inch pipe supported by an overhead suspen sion table to tele the place of ground supports which would have interfered with traffic.
fhis Union City installation was a repeat order-- one of teny dust control systems designed and built for The 'foiKjeS Company over the past eighteen years. It Is
just another example of how manufacturers ulifbe Liberty's specialized engineering "know-how" in dust and fume control.
Regardless of whether your plans cell for relocating ypur present equipment or installing a complete new system, Liberty Engineers are ready to assist you In planning efficient dust control tailored to meet your particular needs. Write for complete information.

Low in maintenance cost because it gives such long, dependable service. Costly shut downs for frequent repacking are avoided. Man hours and machine hours are saved. Use G a r l o c k 150 on piston rods of engines, pumps, compres sors, etc., against steam pressures up to 300 lbs.

Typical Plibrico lining in connection w ith a gas||j fired boiler. Plibrico is installed in plast ic condi
tion, tdtnm ed smooth, then baked out by the fire.
Furnace lining that is / t( refractory
# Your first and foremost reason for using Plibrico furnace linings is summed up in the one '' word "monolithic". A Plibrico lining is totally
' free from the countless joints that signal the ulti mate failure of any laid-up fire brick lining. It is like a lining carved from a single fire brick of
highest quality. It is all refractory! Proved superior from the start, we have never
deviated from this basic principle of jointless construction. But each year has shown ways of putting this better principle into ever better practice.
Plibrico construction methods today include patented Flexo-Anchors which hold Plibrico walls securely in place; Taperlok supports which permit sectionalizing Plibrico walls at minimum
cost; methods of readily constructing air-cooled walls at moderate cost;methods of forming door,
ignition and suspended arches that stand up im
service. Guiding every Plibrico installation is the broad
experience of an engineering staff with a proved record of creating furnace designs capable of ob taining maximum efficiency with any given com bination of boiler and fuel-burning- equipment.
Your local Plibrico Sales & Service engineer is in a position to give you the full benefit of Pli brico refractories, Plibrico engineering, and Pli brico installation service. If preferred, your own men can install Plibrico products supplied front local stocks. Ask for big Plibrico catalog, speci fying edition covering water tube or H.JLT,
boilers.
