Pyranol 1470
We understand from Mr. Hosmer's memorandum of May l6 to you on this subject that Krummrich Plant is in a position to start preparation of this material promptly upon receipt of the Trichloro-Tetrachlorobenzene blend from Hooker Electro chemical Company. This information has been given to the General Electric Company.
We are placing an order at once with Hooker for a 7,000gallon tank car of Trichloro-Tetrachloro blend for shipment to us the latter part of July, and it will be used to pre pare material for shipment to General Electric at Oakland, California, in early August. It may be that other orders for Pyranol 1470 will be forthcoming and require shipment earlier than August; and should this situation arise, we shall arrange to bring in the Trichloro-Tetrachloro blend earlier than indicated above.
In this connection, and as suggested by Mr. Dalton in his memorandum dated May 12 to you, we are placing an order for five gallons of Trichloro-Tetrachloro blend for imme diate shipment to Mr* Dalton for experimental purposes in the preparation of a small, or pilot plant, scale, batch.
We have established the following code number for Pyranol 14?0:
1040-364-75-03
So that all those interested will be sure to have them, we are attaching to this memorandum a copy of General Elec tric Company's Pyranol 1470 specifications; and the prod uct we prepare should meet these specs. We are also attaching a copy of specifications covering the Trichloro-Tetrachlorobenzene blend which Hooker Electrochemical Company is to furnish.
