MAY 2 8 1980 SPECIFICATION NO! 2 p 3-1 FLUID-TITE A/C Sewer Pipe, Couplings and Accessories Classes 1500, 2400, 3300, 4000, 5000, 6000 and 7000 - Sections A & B GENERAL This specification designates the requirements for P&PG FLUID-TITE Asbestos Cement Sewer Pipe. It is divided Into two Sections, A and B. Section A deals with 4", 5" and 6" small diameter pipe, and is manufactured in three (3) classes, 1500, 2400, and 3300, and is intended for use in non pressure drainage systems, outside dwellings, septic tank systems, sub-surface disposal systems, and as sewer connections between dwellings and sewer lines. Section B is intended for use with 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 24 inch pipe sizes and is manufactured in classes; 1500, 2400, 3300, 4000, 5000, 6000 and 7000 and is intended for use in the conveyance of sanitary sewage in gravity flov; systems. Pipe linings are available for special use in sizes 6" through 24". Rubber Rings Two rubber rings shall be furnished with each standard coupling. Standard or special rings shall be supplied with each fitting requiring rings. Rings shall meet the requirements of ASTM D1869 and A/C Standard Purchasing Specs. #506, 531 or 512. Oil-resistant rubber rings shall be furnished \rtien specifically re quested provided there is sufficient lead time. Certa-Spacer Band One factory-applied CERTA-SPACER band (on prebelled side) must be furnished with each length of pipe. They shall meet all requirements of A/C Standard Purchasing Spec. #528. Lubricant Lubricant for use in field work shall be supplied in 5-ounce tubes, 1% quart containers or upon request by customer, 5 gallon pails. Machined outer surfaces of all pipe (regardless of length), fittings, and adaptors shall be free of hanging machined trim (lace curtains).
