We do, however, have some concerns which we think can be easily addressed in the context of our continuing research agreement with the University. First, we want to be assured that all data in the study will remain confidential and therefore stay under the control of the Northwestern. While we understand the need to ship the bloods to the CDC, we want to assure that no other data leaves the University. Second, we would like you or your study team to assist us as you have in the past with worker communication. This may require you to visit our plant and talk with our workers upon study completion. Third, we would like to have the right to review and comment on protocols and reports 60 days before the protocol or report is finalized. Finally, we would like to re-establish the peer review committee to review and comment on all protocols and reports. We think that the company, our workers' union, and the University should be able to appoint people to this committee. Please let me know if these terms are fine with you. We await your response.
