The discussion will center around the Department of Defense interests to establish a process for developi ng human health reference values (HHRVs) to support envi ronmental and occupational health deci si on maki n g . These HHRVs will often be for chemi cal s or exposure scenari os of pri mary interest to DoD although they will be shared and made part of the wi der "commons" of toxi col ogy val ue s. DoD desi res a robust, ri gorous and repli cable process to ensure the credi bi1ity of these HHRVs and thei r broader uti1ity. The purpose of thi s ini ti al di scussi on is to gather perspectives and experi ences, share 1essons from other HHRV processes, identify specific chal 1enges and best practices, and design a fol 1ow on workshop to help DoD develop a process.
