Sample number one taken from the back of stairway "C" between basemert "A" and the first floor of 33 Thomas Street, New York, contained no asbestos. The principal crystalline materials noted were calcium sulfate anhydrate, calcium sulfate, and quartz. Sample number two taken from the fourth floor men's room at 33 Thomas Street, also contained no asbestos. The principal crystalline material noted in this sample was calcite.
