I learned so much and I was so proud to be surrounded by people who aren't just making sure Americans have healthy air to breathe, but are actually champions of the economy too! We often argue that there's no trade-off between a strong economy and a healthy environment, but if I learned anything from Mayor Andy Berke, it's that sometimes tackling pollution is an essential precursor for growing investment, jobs, and a thriving community. It's hard to believe that beautiful Chattanooga was once one of the most polluted cities in America, isn't it? It's certainly one of the friendliest today! I hope you all enjoyed the meeting as much as I did. The meeting presentations are now posted on Air Web under "Past Meetings" and online at http://www.4deanair.org/Spring 2.013. If you have not done so already, please take the time to complete the online meeting evaluation form. As you know, we use your ideas and suggestions to help improve future meetings.
