Paper on "What Industry Expects of Medicine," presented by Howard Strong at National Conference on Medical Service, Chicago, February 10, 1946. Several further items will be distributed as soon as available. Information received since June 20 indicates that, in addition to the committees of several other organizations mentioned in my letter of that date, the A.M.A. Council on Industrial Health and the A.A.I.P. and S. have committees working along lines similar to ours. This appears: to make it all the more imperative that there be full interchange of views between these committees, with perhaps, in due course, a meeting at wnich each is represented, in order tnat an epi demic of unrelated and probably conflicting reports may be avoided. Dr. Shepard's letter to Mr. In&ram is certainly constructively co operative, and I hope that Dr. Hussey will find it possible to con fer with Dr.| Selby to ascertain tne extent to which the latter's views agree with Dr. Shepard's.
