Play Sand Dear Ms. Birenbaum: Thank you lor your letter of March lb, 1989. Unee again, your letter documents inaccurate rending of my communications with the CPSC. 1 am fully aware that i>r, Cohn quoted from his recollection of the March 1, 1988 meeting. My most recent letter to you simply stated that 1 have notes takeu at the March 3, 1988 meeting and I vividly recall Dr. Cohn as well as several others taking handwritten notes at that meeting. I simply requested you to find out why those notes no longer exist. Also, since the quote attributed to me by Dr. Cohn came from his racoiJnrtion, and T pointed out that it was inaccurate, I still Chink there should be a correction of the staff memo in which his misquote of my remarks appears. Finally, you chose not to reply to my request for an invesl LgaLlon >>f why the CPSC staff misrepresented Dr. Yamste's report and position at the October 28, 1988 briefing, i have subsequently provided written documentt ton r>F that fact Iron 1ITRI. I trust you will read this letter and not rely on staff which must be confunLng and misrepresenting remarks of various persons involved. Sincerely, JLA/li 1303a ec: GMinsis;;]oner Graham Jei<!ud L.
