Thur 8/31/2017 7:55:27 PM CN Update Hello Ryan - My client International Paper (poc over there is Neil Naraine) along with their trade association (AF&PA) have been working with some of your team to get a timely policy statement from EPA supporting language in the FY-17 omnibus appropriations bill calling for forest byproducts, used to produce electricity, to be considered carbon neutral. IP along with AF&PA was assured that a timely policy statement will be developed supporting the language in the omnibus however, there is no indication that a statement is imminent. IP is concerned that the legislative language (rider) will expire at the end of the fiscal year meaning that something needs to be done by EPA before the end of September.
