Merge with existing Indus trial Hygiene Program where applicable. 30 November Monthly Report to contain all documentation--contact J. Novak for assistance. J. Novak and I will review with all of you on 21-22 November 1977 in Calvert City. PVC - OK to continue present program. Compounding - Closing down - Existing data satisfactory. Get one more blood test on all employees before shutting down - Analyze fdr lead. PVOH - Area monitoring on MeOH - MeAc - VAM satisfactory for control. Document each excursion above 200 ppm, 20 ppm, and 10 ppm respectively and state action taken to correct situation. Record in Monthly Report. Maintain Leak Patrol for same materials. Start personnel monitoring - For 1st month take day shift randomly during week for operators in SAP Building. Run 2-4 hour samples - use sippon pumps - silica gel. Report results in Monthly Report. Emulsions - Same as above except for VCM, VAM, Maleic Anhydride, nMA. Personnel Samples - 15 minute samples - taken for duration of action involving above chemicals. Reports - same. Acetylenics - Personnel samples - Use Bendix pumps, 2 liters/ minute, in product flaking - Analyze for total dust and report - Do during each run of material until 25 readings obtained - Report - Analyze with Industrial Hygienist and continue adjustment of program. In-Process Building - 2-4 hour samples of operator who has major assignment in area on random days during run and during any upset. Establish adsorption-desorption coefficient on silica gel and carbon - Use whichever gives best results - Use sippin or duPont pumps. Analyze for Isopropyl Ether and Carbonyl in use. Maintenance Shop and area by Boiler Plant - Analyze 0 hour samples during any complaint period-no less than every two weeks randomly. Use Bendix pumps and filter cartridge. Determine total dust.
