Section I - INTRODUCTION
PURPOSE OF THE INSPECTION EPA Region 6 inspector Kent Sanborn visited the J &B Oil LLC oil production facility located in the NW/4 Section 32-T15S-R16W near Smackover, Arkansas on April 10, 2015. No representative of J &B Oil LLC was present for the inspection. The inspection was conducted by authority of the Clean Water Act to determine compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. FACILITY DESCRIPTION Known as the TC Patton lease. There is 1-gun barrel separator, 1-200 barrel brine tank, a horizontal separator, and 1-200 barrel stock tank.
Section II - OBSERVATIONS
There is an electric pump set up to drain the pit. The pump is not on. Three inches of rain last night. Some grading on prior damage south of the battery toward the creek.
Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN
Pit is getting full.
Section IV - FOLLOW UP
Re-inspect in a few months.
