XL. JOHN J. DOOLEY DIES Col. John J. Dooley, special representative of the Company for many years, died recently at his home in Larchmont, New York, at the age of 60. Col. Dooley joined National Lead in 1907 as a salesman and special representative for the U. S. Cartridge Company, In this capacity he gave instruction in shooting to state and municipal police and National Guard units all over the country. In 1916 ' he resigned and re-entered the U. S. Karine Corps to organize a school for the instruction of World War I machine-gunners. Following the war he became the second Marine ever to reoeive a commission as lieutenant-colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve He returned to the Company in 1921, serving as special representative until his retirement in 1938, Following his retirement, he was retained on a consulting basis for a number of years.
THE "DUTCH BOY" GOES ON TELEVISION Starting April 6 "Dutch Boy41 "spot" commercials began to appear on television station WCBS-TY, New York, Featuring the Coaqsany's trademark and advertising "Wonsover", these "spots" are to run for 70 oonsecutive nights, A folder announcing the commercials was mailed to all dealers in the metropolitan area.

KRUEGER APPOINTED PRODUCTION MGR. FOR ST. LOUIS S&R DIVISION Harold A. Krueger has been appointed production manager of the St. Louis Smelting and Refining Division. He began his Company career in 19h2 as an engineer and became successively a mine foreman and general mine foreman. In 19Ub he was named assistant superintendent in charge of the Tri-State mines. He became general superintendent of the Baxter Springs, Kansas, operations in 19b8 and plant manager of the Tri-State operations last year.
BAROID APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED ' The following appointments have been announced by the Baroid Sales Division: Tom A. Bergin has joined Baroid as special representative in the Gulf Coast Division. V. V. Horner has been appointed division field service engineer in the MidContinent Division. Mr. Horner came to Baroid in 19U6, R, T. Weber, formerly with the Company's Titanium Division, has been named assistant division field service engineer, working out of Baroid's Houston office. D. D. Powers has been made a special sales representative, in charge of the promotion of sales of Aquagel and other products to geophysical companies. He came to Baroid in 191l 4 as a service engineer.
