CHEMICAL MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION January 9, 1985 Dear Members of the Vinyl Chloride Program: I am writing you with a mixture of pleasure and regret. A reorganization of CMA staff has caused us to make changes in some Program Panel assignments in the Special Programs Division. I am pleased to announce that on February 1, 1985, Dr. Hasmukh Shah will assume the role of Manager for the Vinyl Chloride Program. Dr. Shah, whose Ph.D. is in Toxicology, has been employed at CMA in the Special Programs Division since 1979. He has considerable research and regulatory expertise in addition to his long experience in program management. Clearly he will bring an exciting new point of view to the Panel. You may contact Dr. Shah at (202) 887-1192. Nevertheless, I regret the need to replace Carol Stack. We always wish to maintain as much continuity in program management as possible. The change of assignment is therefore a decision we take very seriously, and only with ample reason. I think you will understand, however, that staffing changes are common to all organizations. Our objective at CMA must be to meet the challenge they provide with a new stronger structure. I feel the Special Programs Division has moved strongly in this . direction with our new assignments. I am certain that the quality of program management will not suffer. Still, I invite you to contact me about any concerns that arise after the change.
