This project replaces the second gas chromatograph in need of replacement Justification: This project is justified due to safety concern The current gas chromatographs were installed in the 1970s We have been informed by Daniels that repair parts are no longer produced for these gas chromatographs Due to the unavailability ofparts for these machines they can no longer be maintained properly A shutdown on any ofthese gas chromatographs will cause the plant to be at risk by not having the proper fixed point monitoring required by regulatory permit These gas chromatographs are required by OSHA for employee exposure monitoring and by EPA for leak detection.
