The OSHA personnel investigated asbestos handling and took air borne dust samples in every location where asbestos ..was handled or stored. S. Herron took identical simultaneous dust samples for obvious reasons. The OSHA personnel also conducted a general safety inspection in the vicinity of the cell renewal building and the G-l and G-3 cell rooms. A citation is anticipated im- . manently including some of the following alleged violations al though corrective action has been initiated: 'no warning signs in asbestos storage areas (questionable violation) improper.disposal of waste asbestos bags; inadequate medical surveillance records; . inadequate asbestos dust area monitoring (questionable violation); National Electrical Code violation; no self-closing valve on a combustible liquid drum; fan guarding; and chain sling inspection and marking.
