Dear Hr. Whiteside:
This Is a follow-up report on my Noveaber 30, 1973 report regarding the above subject. At this time ve would enter the following report.
As stated, we have reverted to our full asbestos employee protective program and we are following the "Immediate Temporary Administrate Controls" as outlined in your Multi-Step Abatement.
On November 12, 1973 we again marked off the pack out areas in the main plant. All employees working Inside the marked area are again required to wear approved respirators In accord with our established program. All waste containing asbestos and empty asbestos begs are disposed of In sealed, marked containers. All employees in the area are provided with protective clothing and foot covering. We have protective clothing and foot covering. We heve provided these employees with a change room and provided each of them three individual clothes lockers. One for their street clothes, one for their work clothes, and one for their respirators In accord with our respirator program. All asbestos caution signs are posted at all approaches to the work area and asbestos caution labels are affixed to containers of finished products, raw materials, and waste containers as required.
We would further advise that our permanent Engineering and Administrative controls are nearly completed. The new dust collector for the pack out area was Installed and put in use during the month of December, 1973. At this time we have control of the dust from the back side of the packer. Due to an error in size and shape of some of the dust prefabrication work, completion on the front side was impossible. The contractor is refabricating: the required ducts at this time and completion la expected eerly In January 1974.

We will continue all of the employer protective measures outlined above until an approved test Indicates we have met all requirements. In this regard we need to be advised who we can contact to run these tests that will be acceptable to your Department.
Ve are still working to Improve the non-asbestos formula that failed to obtain customer acceptance In Novr-ber 1973. We are sure that the problems can be overcome and still have long range plans to eliminate asbestos addition to our product line.
If you or your staff require further Information, please advise.
Very traly yours.
