It should be noted that the entire bagging area has been enclosed and is a "NO SMOKING OR EATING" area. All personnel working in this area are required to wear respirators. Weather: Gentle wind from the south west, fair, 55 high purity open being bagged. There are still plans for reduction of dust in this area. Aafmriflf hUmt data Mj.4 Dear Paul: I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to talk about your dust count results before you left. Enclosed Is a set Kamens took yesterday. They are generally within the' present limit except In the bagging area, reflecting the fact that ve discontinued dumping floor sweepings off the truck dock. Effective 12/11/68, floor sweepings will be wet down before they are taken out of the bagging area. This should eliminate this source of airborne dust. We will require respirators on personnel hand stacking at the end of the bag conveyor, based on the test results. We will proceed to design and install a wet system for returning cleanup material from the bagging area to the head end of the circuit. This should reduce dust counts throughout the plant.
