I was concerned that AHS was no longer the recipient of the test and the final datasets. As long as you think the new arrangement will get us both the test dataset and the final dataset according to the time schedule that I proposed, I will leave it up to API to get us the necessary data on time. I just want to reiterate that our timeline and budget depend heavily on both the date of delivery of the data and the quality of the data. If the data are not "user friendly" or ready for analysis, our timeline and budget will be affected. With regard to the issue of QA/QC, regardless who will take the place of Judy, I would like to get some input or consultation from the epidemiologists or biostatisticians of the SRP (such as Harvey Checkoway or Howard Rockette). We should seek their advice as soon as possible, so that corrective actions can be taken if necessary. Russ and Bruce, as requested, I have talked with Professor Fu regarding Fudan's contract to provide support work for the CC study. I will work with him to prepare an outline proposal and a budget. I'm sorry I forwarded the draft Cinpathogen deliverables without clarifying this. I will forward the U of Colorado grant extension deliverables when I get back in the office on Tuesday. I believe the recent conversation between Drs. Irons, Schnatter, and yourself is the foundation (both in spirit and contractually) for migration of data to AHS. Gail Jorgensen's retirement from EMBASI makes the two step process a necessity. I understand that Gail will work directly for the U of Colorado now. (I actually think this is an improvement.) The deliverables for the CC study have been modified without my knowledge and now AHS is no longer the recipient. This is not consistent with our previous discussion or our latest timeline to API.
