Mr. Yates, This will acknowledge receipt of your letter. We clearly recognize the importance of the agricultural community and private landowners to monarch conservation and share a common objective, as
stated in your letter: "We support robust, state-directed, voluntary and collaborative conservation plans for species as the most effective way to prevent a listing under the ESA."
We will be discussing your concerns about representation and process with leadership and will respond in more detail as soon as possible.

Good Morning -
Please see the attached letter written on behalf of the American Farm Bureau Federation and the state Farm Bureaus of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas outlining concerns regarding the Midwest Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (MAFWA) effort to develop the Mid-America Monarch Conservation Strategy (Strategy).
I look forward to working with you to rectify these important concerns. Thank you.
