Undoubtedly Dr. Kehoo has had similar reports but we thought rre would pass it on anyhow. we have not written _him directly since it is our understanding you wish to hare all such information channeled through New York. ""foils making a fleet call at the Ohio Cartage Company in Columbus last week, I heard of an interesting incident regarding the use of Vitameters on the Pure Oil Company's fleet at Heath, Ohio. It comes to me second hand, but I am sure it is time, and feel you will be interested to hear of it. ''Some of the units at the Heath Refinery are Cab-over-Engine Tractors (GHC, I believe) and when installing the Vitameter units they wore at a loss to find a suitable place for the Vitol tank. Without realising what might happen, they mounted some of the tanks inside the cabs. Thin proved to be a bad mistake for, in one case at least, the tank leaked and filled the cab with the vapors. The driver evidently breathed enough of it to become very ill and as a result has been off work for several months. Needless to say, the installations were immed iately changed so that the Vitol tank would be in a different location.
