Larkin Houston - Utility -tan - Aabeeton Wearing Department Upon the recoraaendation of Dr* John 0. Walla, we removed Larkin Houston from the Aabeeton 'lent on October 26, 1967* He was transferred to a Watchmen Job at Reid 3lent, but worked only one shift, claiming physical Inability to perform the duties of the job because of breathlessness and fatigue. Since his condition did not jjyrove after a period of rest, a claim was subuLtted to the Georgia State Board of Workmen's Coapenaation on December 20, 1967 The claim was based upon a stipulation agreed upon by Mr* Houston and the Company to the effect that Mr* Houston was totally and permanently disabled, and that $0% of this disablemant was due to asbestoaia and $0% attributable to causes totally unrelatad to his eiaployment. On January 16, 1968, the State Board of Workman's Compensation made an award based on the stipulation. A copy of this award plus a copy of Dr. Walls' findings, upon which the stipulation was based are enclosed* At the time Mr. Houston was removed from the Aabeeton 3lant, the nunrlmmi compensation payable for total and permanent disability was $12,500. 2. Mrs. Odessa A. Hale - cuiller Tender - Aabeeton Wading & Weaving Upon the recommendation of Dr. Walls, we removed Mrs. Hale from the Aabeeton 3lent on February 8, 1968. Because of her age (57) and generally poor physical condition, we were not able to transfer her to similar or other type work at Reid or Stark. On March 1, 1968, a claim was submitted to the Georgia state Board of Workmen's Compensation. This claim was based on a stipulation agreed upon by.Mrs. Halm and the Coqpaoy. The stipulation was baaad on Dr. Walls' evaluation. Tbs state Board of Workmen's Compensation approved the stipulation and wrote an: award according to the terms of tbeatlpnlation on March 6, 1968.
