Good afternoon,
On behalf of Transportation Secretary Duffy, DOT is looking forward to hosting next week's inaugural Transportation Advisory Board meeting. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 3:00 -- 4:00 pm, at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EEOB) in room 350 (new location).
I'm pleased to share an advance copy of the agenda, which will be publicly posted on www.transportation.gov/USDOTAdvisoryBoard prior to the meeting.
To help with your preparations, I would also like to call to your attention the prompts and questions that Secretary Duffy may pose to the group during the meeting:
When introducing yourself, Secretary Duffy is likely to ask you to share the following:
o Affiliation
o The perspective or interest you're representing o A sentence or two as your "elevator pitch" for improving America's
transportation infrastructure
During the preliminary discussion (agenda item 3), Secretary Duffy may ask one or more of the following questions: o What technologies or innovations are we currently underinvesting in? Where are we falling behind other nations? Where are we lagging the private sector? o What is one regulatory or policy improvement we could make to enhance efficiency or reduce unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles? o Where (in terms of transportation modes, types of projects, geographies) does the greatest potential exist for public-private partnerships to help improve the state of the Nation's infrastructure?

Hi Monica-- Thanks again for your help with Secretary Duffy's participation at the Board meeting this week! Attached is the full agenda, a schematic of the ballroom, and a photo from a previous Board meeting in the same venue (though the room setup will be slightly different), and some potential questions that may come from members.
To ensure that arrival/stay during the meeting can you advise if:
Preferences: Does Secretary Duffy have any preference for walk-on music? If not, we will opt for upbeat instrumental. Do Secretary Duffy and his team require parking? If so, how many cars? Does Secretary Duffy require access to a private green room? Any other special accommodations? Is it OK if we share Secretary Duffy's attendance on social media? If so we can send over draft social media ASAP.
