Sinai Hospital concerning the Mennen talc products Implicated to contain asbestos. While visiting with Dr. Langer, Mr. Suffis observed that Dr. Langer could not confirm the presence of asbestos in the Mennen samples when retested by continuous scanning (X-RD). Mr. Suffis further mentioned that the implicated samples were produced in 1973 with an Italian talc. Mr. Suffis also wanted to know what Mennen talc samples the FDA had collected and tested in FY 75, and he requested subsamples of these products for retesting. He was informed that samples would be made available should sufficient material be on hand. Heinz J, Eiermann P.S. - It was determined that samples of the Mennen talc could be made available.
