You don't have to be an advertising specialist to lay out an interesting ad. The mats of all the modern cuts illustrated on the following pages are available to all Glidden dealers, free of charge. This cut book is designed to assist you. YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER WILL HELP YOU Pick out the products you want to show, order the mats from Cleveland, and then ask your local newspaper to assist you in preparing the ad. They will be glad to help you. Usually you just turn over to the newspaper the message you wish to rim with the cuts, and they will make up a layout .for your approval. On pages 5, 6, 7 and 8, you will find suitable ad headings, as well as im portant selling pcnnts to help you make up your own ads. A LARGE VARIETY OF CUTS The variety in sizes of the cuts makes it easy to use them in making up newspaper ads, handbills, folders, pamphlets, etc. The many combinations of cuts and copy can be used to make attractive ads. MAKE TRACING OF CUTS YOU NEED We suggest that when making up ads, you do not cut out the illustrations from this book. Instead, trace the illustrations you desire on tissue paper and paste these tracings on your layouts. By doing this, you preserve a complete catalog of all available cuts without destroy ing two illustrations ... the one you cut out and the one on the reverse side.
