In assembling the report, please discard pages 1? and lli.f and Tables 8 and 9 as I previously sent them to you. They are unnecessary and X have made certain slight modifications in them after a study of the complete data. I would appreciate it if you and Dr. Hillenbrand would study the report and submit to me any questions or criticisms which occur to you. I have tried not to make the discussion unnecessarily long and I r&ay have failed to clarify certain points. Perhaps it is true that some familiarity with our previous work would be required in order to understand certain of the interpretations which I have made. I hope this Is not the case since I have wished to make this report fairly complete In Itself. I have only one other comment to make* I should not wish either you or any of your associates, or Dr* Selby, to feel that my recom mendations for continued observations are in the nature of a "come on" I feel quite certain that you will not have any such opinion for you are fairly familiar with ray attitude on the subject of your plant. On the other hand, lest there be any misunderstanding, I should like to make it quite clear that although I should be In terested In malting further observations, and am willing to do so, I am suggesting this course only because I think It Is definitely in your interests to know certain things more certainly than they can be discovered from the observations made up to the present time* We have plenty of work in the laboratory and actually we can not afford to take on any additional work at this time, nor do I consider it advantageous from our point of view to have numerous suspected cases of lead poisoning coming to our attention for study. On the other hand, I do not KH 00 like to leave any job uncompleted and, therefore, I have made certain suggestions which ray better judgment has prompted* There is one large table which is yet to be added to the data which X am supply- ing you* X have assembled all of the clinical and analytical data In one continuous running table for our mutual convenience In the study of individual cases.
