Therefore, we welcome the new opportunity offered to provide you with additional information. However, we would like to raise our concerns about the deadline for submitting feedback to the recently opened second stakeholder consultation on a restriction for PFAS. As the consultation is open for only a limited time during the summer months, we are worried that the proposed deadline could jeopardize the quality of submitted information. As indicated in our December 2020 letter, due to the complexity of our supply chain, we require sufficient time to reach out to our downstream users for additional information. Considering the reduced resources and availability during the summer period, we would request that you extend the deadline to respond to the consultation to mid-October 2021. We would highly appreciate it if you would consider the above elements and adapt the procedures accordingly to enable meaningful input to this data-collection exercise.
