As President-Elect of the Product Stewardship Society https://www.productstewards.org/Pages/default.aspx, an affiliate of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) (www.aiha.org), I write to invite you to speak at our 2018 Conference https://www.productstewards.org/ProductStewardship2018/Pages/default.aspx. The conference is conveniently located in Washington, D.C. on September 27-29, 2018, at the Marriott Marquis. We seek your participation on Saturday, September 29, at 10:00 a.m. to keynote the closing plenary session.
Reasons to Accept this Invitation
1. EPA OCSPP has not historically participated in AIHA PSS events. We believe this is an excellent venue to address this gap.
2. Given amendments to TSCA, there is a much greater need for the industrial hygiene and product stewardship community to know and understand TSCA and your participation in the Conference will help draw attention to this need (Section 5 SNURs and workplace issues come to mind).
3. Product stewardship is a growing area of substantive interest and our members and participants need to hear from you as this Administration's top TSCA leader.
4. While this presentation falls on a Saturday, which is not great news, because it falls on a Saturday, you may be more available and willing to spend an hour with several hundred people extremely interested in what you have to say.
Please let me know as we are anxious to promote your participation if we are lucky enough to secure your acceptance.
