Excessive inhalation of particulates can cause asbestosis, a disabling fibrosis of the lungs which gradually reduces lung capacity and efficiency.
Excessive inhalation can also cause Lung Cancer, and Mesothelioma, a cancer of linings around the lung or abdominal cavities.
Smoking greatly increases the risk of Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma.
