As I recall you were leaving on vacation and requested additional time to ansv/er the step . 4 meeting upon your return from vacation leevo. Since we have not received your reply to this date, in order to protect the time limits as required in the contract, v;e therefore espeal to arbitration the above subject grievances end request you to reply in writing the position of the Company with respect to cur step 4 meeting held on September 5, 1969. As you are r.wsre the other tv/o (2) grievances were settled satisfactorily to the Union that were under consider^ tion in our 5 grievance meeting.
