BLUE LIST
The following listed consumable materials are approved for use prior to intermediate cleaning in preparation for hot forming, heat treatment, welding or other operations raising surface temperature over 60QF, and also prior to final cleaning. (See Figure 1 attached) All restrictions specified in Sections 9 and 10 of 12-2-QP-J* also apply. Note to Purchasing: Tape C-5 (Certificate of Conformance) shall be required for all consumable materials purchased to Categories 1, 2, and 3. (See 12-1-QP-5).

This memo extends the expiration date of Revision 6 of the Red and Blue Lists. Please he advised that the new expiration date is July 14, 1974, in lieu of July 1.
The next Revision (7) of the Red and Blue Lists will use a different format than that used on the previous revisions. It is hoped that the new format will result in easier use of the Lists by all shop personnel.
An unexpected delay in obtaining the required information for the new format has necessitated the above extention.
