The attached statement is an estimate of your Company's subscriptions to the Oiainar/, Pension and Health and Safety Funds of the Lead Industries Associa tion for the first charter of 1961 and the actual subscriptions to the Industry t Development und Research Funds for the sane period.
Members' subscriptions for the Ordinary, Pension and Health and Safety Funds for the first quarter are estimated at 10 per cent lower than for the last quarter of I960 to reflect the new rates. Minimum subscriptions of 200 per year for regu lar members and 1,003 per year for foreign producers remain in affect.
Adjustments will be made later in tne year on the subscriptions to the Or dinary, Pension and Health and Safety Funds when complete I960 production and con sumption figures from members are available.
Since couplet* figures are now available for the calculation of subscription to the Industry Development and Research Funds no further adjustments will be mad# in subscriptions to thess Funds.

SUBSEQUENT ADJUSTMENTS
In order that we may make the necessary adjustments in a subsequent state ment, won't you please send us, if you have not already done so, at your earliest convenience, your tonnages for the year I960 on the following applicable classi fications as marked:
1, Domestic lead mined (recoverable lead content only)
2. Lead smelted and refined in the United States
3* Lead consumed in manufacture of lead products in the United States
4. Lead consumed in manufacture of assembled articles in the United States (such as storage batteries, cable and ammunition)
5. Foreign lead exported to the United States (including ores, con centrates, bullion, pig lead, and lead products - lead content only).
