(See Over for Distribution) FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW YORK, JULY 12, 1962 - National Lead Company has announced the appointment of Dr. F. Leicester Cuthbert as technical director of the company's new Hightstovn Laboratories at Hightstown, New Jersey. He succeeds Dr. Joseph A. Orsino who is resigning to undertake special research work in the aerospace industry. Dr. Cuthbert began his company career in 19^5 as a chemist at the Brooklyn Research Laboratories. Later that year he was transferred to the Baroid Division as manager of labora tories at Los Angeles. In 19^7 he became manager of research and develop ment and two years later director of the division's sales aid service laboratories at Houston. In 1951 he was appointed technical director at the AEC' s Feed Materials Production Center which National Lead operates for the Government at Femald, Ohio. Dr. Cuthbert received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Buffalo, and his Ph.D. degree from Iowa State University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining National Lead he was engaged for five years in research at the University of Illinois and Princeton University.
