I'm sure your knowledge and talent will truly be appreciated in your new role with the EPA and I wish you all the best. Pursuant your email below dated December 12, 2016, you had requested that I contact your new office after the confirmation hearings. On behalf of POWER Engineers, it is our pleasure to invite the Honorable E. Scott Pruitt, EPA Administrator, as our keynote and guest speaker to the Power Symposium on April 27, 2017 in Weehawken NJ. The theme for this year's symposium is "Power for the Future: Discussing Key Trends Driving the Power Market." For the past 24 years, the Power Symposium has entailed a private conference bringing leaders 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. EPA ED_001523B_00005079-00001 together to discuss issues affecting the energy industry. Last year's featured speakers included Stu Bresler, SVP of Market Operations at PJM; Peter Podurgiel, SVP of Development at Competitive Power Ventures; and Jonathan Gottlieb, Partner at Stinson Leonard Street, LLP. Key discussion topics included PJM's Future Growth Plan; The Direction of the U.S. Power Market; A Washington Viewpoint - Clean Power Plan; Trends and Drivers in the Power Delivery Industry; an EPC Panel Discussion; and an OEM Distributed Generation (<100 MW) Panel Discussion. This year our focus will be on Investor-Owned Utility Challenges. Speakers include executives from American Electric Power, DTE Energy, and PSEG, along with ISO representatives, Mr. Robert Either, Ph.D., VP, Market Operations of ISO-NE; Mr. Richard Doying, Exec. VP Operations, MISO; Stu Bresler, SVP of Market Operations of PJM; and Rick Gonzales SVP of NYISO. Further, Jonathan Gottlieb of Sutherland out of D.C. will be discussing new laws and FERC regulations impacting the industry. With 150 invited guests including utilities, independent power producers, contractors, OEMs, and financial institutions, this privately held, one-day symposium is full of lively interactive discussions affecting the power market. No press is invited to the symposium. Additionally, our symposium is complimentary to all attendees. The conference will be held on Thursday, April 27th at the Chart House in Weehawken, NJ from 7:30AM to 5:00PM followed by a networking reception. Weehawken is located directly across the Hudson River with a spectacular view of midtown and lower Manhattan. The closest airport is Newark which is approximately 12 miles, and most importantly, the Amtrak Acela is an easy commute from Washington, D.C. to Newark Penn Station. We have a block of rooms reserved at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel and have a dinner planned for our speakers for the evening of April 26th; both are within walking distance from the Chart House. We are completely flexible and will accommodate any time during the day for his presentation. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this informative event. I can be reached anytime at 908-500-2133. Thank you and respectfully, 17cv1906 Sierra Club v.
