Although one might get the impression, in reading the material, that this standard is applicable to construction workers only, this is not at all the case. It applies to all workers. Please note the reduction in the Threshold Limit Value (TLV) from 12 fibers per ml. to 5 fibers. This of course was expected. Please note also the additional responsibilities involving mixing, clean-up, and disposal of waste, under subsections e, , and g of the second page. The subsections having to do with selection, testing, cleaning and storing of respirators also require action on our part. Who will notify the plants of the new requirements?
