Hatch Gentlemen* I will try to anawer the JIHAff part or Patty* a letter of April twenty-fifth, and you oan feel entirely free to counter my sugges tion* with others. Vet* eur present list of Associate Editors, with Ides Perry and me as permanent managing editors. Morits, Professor of Legal Uedioin* at Harvard Medical, will probably be dropped and my new colleague. Dr. Marshall Clinton, Jr., (a Clittioian) will be substituted. We three are; responsible for the Journal and will do the dirty work and the routine. I assume you do net want to get involved in this as pect of it We will continue Tabershaw - at least through 1946. I propose to replace fire men on the present board with Kehoe, Cook, Hatch, and Sander, assuming all of these gentlemen agree to the ohange. The last man mentioned does not belong to the A.I.H.A. 1 weald very much prefer a continuing list of editors from A.I.H.A., rather than the automatic addition of tho President and President-elect of A.I.H.A. All of these new men are known to our members and all, with the exception of Sander, hare held office. I hare suggested Hatch rather than Patty, as I wanted one man who was primarily!an engineer on the board. Cook would be inclined a bit more toward the more chemical matters, as would Patty, so they would, in a sense, duplicate each other. Definitely this is not a criticism of anyone and I hope it 11 not be so taken. On the inside of the cover we will add* "An official publication of the American Industrial Hygiene Assoc lotion" - no announcement, and no special oelebration. It is understood that presentation of papers at section, or even national meetings, does not insure publication by JIHAT. The acceptance of suoh papers is to be made by the A.I.H.A. I would not put him on the Journal Board, as he definitely is our chief oowpetitor -- and should rewain so -- but I think it would be a good thing to put him on the A.I.HjL. Editorial Board.
