Dear Mr. Mittnacht; I have gone over Mr. Schaefer's report on the return of gasoline in tank cars, and I am further im pressed by the seriousness of this matter. I believe that the action which you suggest will be entirely satisfactory, and I trust that it will work out as we anticipate. However, I am turning this information over to Siebenthaler in order that he may check up*on these points both as to their mixing equipment and as to their habits of mixing when he visits them dur ing the next year. As you are probably aware, I am planning to have him make one trip each year to each of the mixing points under our supervision. I think it is entirely possible that in this way he nay be able to obtain information for us which may be of a somewhat different character than that which is ob tained through the district representatives. Obvious ly, we shall transmit any information obtained to the district men and to your office. I am expecting to be in New York on Monday. I will be in your office some time in the morning.
