Considering your input we have indicated to Chemours that we will not organize a seperate meeting or site visit with them, and that they are invited to the ad-hoc BCR-meeting of 28/03.

For reasons already mentioned by

, I would also refer them to the ad hoc BCR.
Within the Flemish BAT study on PFAS in water the involvement of the sector is guaranteed, and it seems better to refer firms/sectors to these processes if they want to support or explain certain BATs. At the moment I still have to request the specific point of view of the colleagues more closely working on BAT, but it seems unlikely that their answer will differ a lot and show interest to participate in a discussion already next week.

Thank you both for this input. Personally I would also be more in favor of inviting them to the open BCR meeting in order not to give any preferential treatments.
One reason I could imagine a separate meeting and/or site visit could be interesting is if the focus would be on the Best Available Techniques of their production process. For this I would leave it open to the regional competences working on this to decide whether they would be interested in such discussions. But even then I can imagine the discussions will not be limited to production processes only, so I might be incorrect on this.
I will leave the opportunity for others to express themselves on this, if I receive no other input I will just invite them to the open BCR.

I won't be attending this meeting either way (to avoid conflict of interest with my rapporteurship on UPFAS restriction), but I still want to give my 2 cents.
Considering the highly sensitive and important nature of the dossier, I would advise to invite them to the ad-hoc BCR meeting where all other stakeholders will also be present. Bundling all requests together is not only efficient, but would also show that BE is not giving preferential treatment to any stakeholder. I would also advise against planning a visit to their site for the same reason.

As you can see in the mail below we received an invitation by Chemours to discuss the oncoming policy actions on PFAS.

They have proposed to plan a short one hour discussion next week Wednesday 01/02, either at the Mechelen site or in Brussels.
Considering it is quite short timing to plan a meeting for next week I would suggest that we can invite them for a discussion at the PFAS ad-hoc BCR meeting of 28/03, unless you would prefer to meet next week. At another date we can then plan a visit to the Mechelen site if there is interest.
I would therefore like to ask you the following: Are you or your colleagues interested in attending a discussion with Chemours? If yes, would you prefer next week 01/02 or the ad-hoc BCR meeting? Are you or your colleagues interested in visiting the Mechelen production site?
Please let me know as soon as possible, preferably by next Monday (30/01) 12:00.

Sustainability Thermal & Specialised Solutions, en vue d'organiser une rencontre en prsentiel avec vous lors de sa
visite en Belgique le 1er fvrier 2023.
L't dernier, nous avons invit des responsables politiques et des fonctionnaires belges une visite de travail dans notre usine de Dordrecht, aux Pays-Bas. Sur place, nous avons discut de ce que sont les MTD (meilleures techniques disponibles) pour les missions dans l'air et dans l'eau. Malheureusement, vous n'avez pas pu y assister l't dernier. Nous souhaiterions aujourd'hui vous inviter changer en toute transparence nos points de vue sur les prochaines ambitions europennes dans le domaine de REACH et des gaz fluors.
Chemours est l'un des principaux producteurs de rfrigrants gaz f, de polymres fluors, de lubrifiants haute performance, de membranes et de fluorolastomres (caoutchouc synthtique) - des produits et des applications qui sont dj cruciaux aujourd'hui dans le contexte de la transformation numrique et verte de notre socit. Les exemples incluent les pompes chaleur, les systmes de communication sans fil 5G, le transport autonome et les semi-conducteurs.
En Belgique, Chemours est prsent sur deux sites. Malines, Chemours se concentre sur la fourniture de matriaux de revtement de haute qualit. En outre, Chemours y a rcemment install son premier laboratoire de recherche europen afin de dvelopper des membranes d'change utilises dans la technologie Power-to- Hydrogen. Cette recherche scientifique est finance par l'Union europenne dans le cadre de son programme Horizon 2020. Le second site est situ dans le port d'Anvers (Kallo) et abrite le centre d'expertise europen des services la clientle et de la logistique.
Compte tenu de la relation constructive que Chemours souhaite construire avec votre administration et de l'change intressant que nous avons pu avoir avec vos collaborateurs lors de la visite Dordrecht l't dernier, nous souhaiterions dialoguer avec vous lors d'une rencontre sur les rcents dveloppements au niveau belge et europen et les diffrentes propositions politiques sur les gaz fluors et REACH que vous suivez. Nous vous informons galement des efforts et des connaissances pratiques de Chemours en matire de MTD et de l'approche " best- in-class " en termes de mesures de rduction des missions Dordrecht.

souhaiterait vous rencontrer en prsentiel pour un change d'environ une heure. Est-ce que le mercredi
1er fvrier pourrait vous convenir comme date ? Si vous n'avez pas de possibilits nous proposer cette date, n'hsitez pas
