Physical examination is normal except for the following item: 1* There is marked decay and pyorrhea around the teeth. Laboratory data (urinalysis, blood examination, and cheat x-ray) Is normal except for the follovtlng Items; 1. The amount of lead In the urine Is abnormally high. 2. The amount of lead in the blood is abnoi'mally high and is In the range that sometimes causes Illness. Conclusions and Recommendations This man is in excellent health, he has had considerable exposure to lead compounds and has absorbed some of this material but has not become ill from it. It is essential that he be more careful about the amount of lead containing dust which he inhales and uses the available facilities to prevent further absorption. Also, we suggest that he be more careful to protect his food from lead compounds by thoroughly cleansing his hands before eating.
