Dear Administrator Pruitt,
We urge you to finalize EPA's proposed rule to add natural gas processing plants to the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). Infrastructure supporting the natural gas industry has expanded very quickly in intervening nineteen years, since EPA last considered whether to add the oil and gas industry to the TRI.
Now, we have facilities next to schools, hospitals, and in the backyards of many Americans. These Americans deserve to know which toxic releases comes from the natural gas processing plants in the ir neighborhoods. And the TRI is a proven and effective tool that empowers communities' rights to know.
We respectfully urge the EPA to finalize the rule.
