The enclosed information is from a 90-day inhalation study in two strains of rats and one strain of mice designed to evaluate potential subchronic toxicity effects of epichlorohydrin. The results were reported as HSE-79-Q124 (00448^ Epichlorohydrin subchronic studies I. A 90-dav inhalation study in laboratory rodents (Fischer 344 rats, Spraaue-Dawlev rats and B6C3F1 mice). The changes were observed with some degree of species and strain variability, with the most severe effects being seen in the nasal turbinates of Spraoue-Dawlev rats and the least severe effects in B6C3F1 mice; Fischer 344 rats had an intermediate degree of severity. This information is being submitted under the TSCA 8(e) CAP based on possible target organ (nasal turbinates) effects. No Premanufacture Notices have been sent by Shell to the Agency on this chemical.
