Sue Lessa will >e chairperson. The purpose of this committee will be to provide safety programming of all types including safety meetings for office c personnel wherever their offices may be located. It is expected that field-based clerks will be involved in the unit where they are based but are also expected to participate in all plant-wide office safety activities. In accordance with the policy statement of the Plant Manager's Safety Board, the Loss Prevention and Safety representative on this committee should link the committee to the Plant Manager's Safety Board through the Loss Prevention and Safety Superintendent. The LP&S representative to the committee will be Bob Hammann. Prior to the expiration of your term, you, as a committee, will nominate your replacements. Final selection from the nominees will be recommended by SHAC to the Plant Manager. Safety meetings for office workers will normally be scheduled on a quarterly basis. Additional meetings can be held at the discretion of your committee whenever there is a subject of par ticular interest or when there is a special need. We will expect the Office Safety Committee to participate in and fully support all plant-wide safety programs. Escamilla Paul Siems Ernestine Chuoke Fay Hogg To give a smooth continuity to programs carried out by the Office Safety Committee, three 1980-81 members were held over for a second term. They are: Sue Lessa, Chairperson Kathryn Woodard Marilyn Decker, Secretary Only one program has been held over for the current year - a program on Burglary & Rape. There is also a great amount of interest in having another program on "Hurricanes" this year. The committee felt we should inform employees before another storm instead of after the fact. A city official may be invited to update on what the City of Texas City advises on evacuation. The committee also discussed having a roving photographer and posting pictures of bad housekeeping or safety hazards, in hopes of gaining more attention to problems normally ignored. 001490 LAM002693
