Serial: SP 74-193 dL 1 1974 Dear Mr. Brown: The Bendix Corporation, Launch Support Division has been awarded a NIOSH contract to perform an Environmental/Industrial Hygiene Survey of Vinyl Chloride Monomer Manufacturing Operations and Operations where Polyvinyl Chloride and Copolymers of Polyvinyl Chloride are Processed, contract number CDC-99-74-70. The data required to make the survey a success is highly dependent on interviewing responsible personnel in six vinyl chloride monomer manufacturing plants, and the collection of air samples in a number of areas throughout the manufacturing areas. A second survey will require the same information from as many as 27 polyvinyl chloride and copolymer processing plants. We would greatly appreciate any assistance that you can give us in supplying the names of personnel that could grant us permission to perform the survey in vinyl chloride monomer manufacturing plants in the Houston, Texas area and New Orleans, Louisiana area. We would also appreciate any analysis procedure information and past and present data that you have established pertaining to vinyl chloride monomer manufacturers. vvc 000006203 Division Mr. Werner C.
